That's nothing. I once saw a set of at least SIX runs that had at least 10.2 centimeters of exposed wire between the jacket and the RJ-45. I have no clue how the hell they managed to crimp the plugs. And it was on a live site. One of our satellite sites when I worked for a non-profit, a local computer shop contracted the work out to someone. We ended up cutting and redoing all of the ends. I kept the little "spiders" of the bad ends on my desk for a couple of years. I wish I had gotten a picture of the job, but this was about 11-12 years ago now.
