I was wondering why my AT&T bill went up... you should check yours too. This is BS.

Where I live, AT&T feels like a complete scam

I bought a plan for AT&T where I’ll be paying $33 a month to pay off my iPhone, while on their “unlimited and more premium plan” (because the regular unlimited did not allow you to use a hotspot for whatever reason while the 3GB, 9GB, and Premium plans had it). My bill originally was $170. 1 line. The most basic insurance they had. Paying off an iPhone XS. Unlimited and more. Both my mom and dad are on T-Mobile with unlimited and paying off two S10es’ and a bunch of other products like waterproof speakers, and a cell spot router yet their phone bill costs a whopping $40 more than my bill. Looking at the plans on the website, the premium is “$10” more than the regular unlimited, but when you select the plan the bill goes from costing $10 more to $50~ more, because of the “extra features premium provides” (which I was never going to use. I just wanted a goddamn hotspot for my friends at the time). Couldn’t find information about the extra up charge anywhere, so I had to call AT&T support and that’s when I finally got information about it, nearly after that I immediately downgraded from premium to regular For student discounts, they don’t have any for the Unlimited plans, only the 3GB and 9GB plans, which is a 20% discount which I didn’t mind. Decided to try 9GB, but my bill was only $10 CHEAPER.

Hearing about this now is frustrating me even more

Waiting to pay off this phone and once I do I’m immediately switching carriers.
