There’s a pandemic and people are increasingly losing their jobs and therefore some people who would have been able to save and subsequently watch a broadway show will no longer have that option. 2. Does she think that the people who are ultimately responsible for the bulk of ticket sales are the same demographic who are chasing HEATHERS SLIME TUTORIALs on YouTube? The people who could potentially “run them out” AKA the big spenders and the people watching bootlegs probably overlap by a sliver.

This is not to say I agree with illegal distribution of copyrighted material. However, this issue (as with most issues that boil down to inequality) is a symptom of a much larger one. I think everyone should do their part by trying to minimize stealing from artists as much as they can. But this is not the hill to die on.
