Why Won't Leader McConnell Bring An Election Security Bill To The Floor?

Do you think most poor people are incapable of figuring out how to acquire an ID? How many people do you know who don't have an ID? I grew up in all kinds of poor neighborhoods, and come from various backgrounds. I've taken the bus, walked, biked, and ridden trains all of my life. Getting to a DMV and getting an ID, is not as patronizingly difficult as many in this thread want to make it seem. You know most jobs require an ID on application? Most low paying, minimum wage, basic jobs. You need an ID to buy alcohol and cigarettes. You need an ID to rent a crummy studio, or any kind of housing. You NEED an ID to do these things.

I don't know what kind of bubble people in this thread live in, but this is silly. It's not a simple snap your fingers process to get one, sure, but nothing in this life is always easy to get. Are we encouraging people to not get ID's? I've been in homeless circles where people have ID's in order to keep up their cig and alcohol habits. It's not some ridiculously impossible quest.
