Woolworth's Luncheonette Counter Short Hills, New Jersey - 1958

It's tough. I grew up in Short Hills and live in Short Hills now.

The property is owned by more than one town (Springfield has the largest chunk I think). The side streets people would use to get there are in highly residential areas. I live right off of a street they've identified as one that'll be used as a shortcut to avoid Short Hills Avenue and Morris Turnpike.

That thing is an eyesore, and I really want them to redevelop it, but it seems pretty complicated. At the very least, I wish they'd turn it into a park, but I don't think anyone wants to pay for the demolition or clean up.

The latest news I've seen is for a 223 residential apartment complex and 47 town homes.
