Words of wisdom from the father of the franchise

You can't be serious..

First of all, I am not interested in any argument based on a character that was rushed to hell and had full gear rdy in stash, that is a scenario only possible in Battle.net by receiving help.

Start a fresh SP assassin and beat the game, while staying true Blade Furry the whole way. Then Farm the perfect gear and come tell me it's a legit viable build option. I doubt it but prove me wrong.

In reality, only a few builds are able to beat D2, getting no outsite help.

All the hipster builds only exist because of rush and the added respec.

I din't say, that you said D2 balance was perfect. But you are arguing that with perfect gear, each class has several builds that are endgame viable which is simply false. Cause even with the best gear, some builds would still struggle hard and calling that viable is just disingenuous.

Ofc I know PVP is huge, thats literally what I did most of the time. What I meant was, E.G. A Fire Claw bear only has a purpose in PVP, cause pure fire builds and even fire/phys builds struggle hard in Hell. Fire immunes are very common and alot of double immunes are fire/phys as well. And lets not forget Fire Claw is nothing but a normal attack that does fire damage, no splash more multistrike. Thats not going to be viable at all and only being usefull in PVP doesn't count as a real build in my book. It's a sad waste potential.

I like how you go off on the PVP part and try to silence me. Cute.
