Wore my hair straight for the first time in 4 years to work yesterday, coworker says “your hair looks so much better this way.”

My parents literally called my shirley temple as a kid with how curly my hair was, when i switched schools around 11 i started straightening my hair for the same reason as many to the point that one of my best friends thought i had naturally straight hair and i was so sad about that. When i started my curly hair journey about two years ago is was mainly because seeing my mother’s hair-she constantly straightened for years and now is in her 50s and you can tell the curl pattern is forever damaged even the regrowth and i thought i don’t want that to happen to me. I still sadly think i look more attractive with straight hair but the compliments i get now on curly hair are so much more (i also attribute the massive change in society to be more pro curly hair ie. dyson hair wrap girlies)
