I got my 2nd degree in German and aside from a year there as a study abroad student, it has proven to be an almost entirely useless achievement. Super cool, but not very useful. ASL just feels way more interesting and relevant. Plus wtf, why don't all people learn to communicate non-verbally? I just feel like that would have many useful situations...
I've been on SignSchool.com and am of course familiar with Vicar's lessons, but I'm more able to learn by going somewhere in person.... so, done! $47/unit and I'm thinking of just shooting for the Certificate of Achievement to start (Half the units of an Associates Degree).
