Do you have a work crush? How do you handle it?

Absolutely! Also, to keep up the mystery, I usually only see him a few days a week, every other week (so like 6/7 days a month) so it's like a "ooh, you're here!" type of thing as opposed to seeing him every day, which I think adds to it. I'm sure I'd get annoyed by any of the doctors if I saw them daily for hours at a time.

And I agree, it's kinda like the difference between dating someone and living with someone. Everything is soooo much fun when you're dating because, at the end of the day, you can go home and do your own weird stuff like poop with the door open or pick your nose or eat salad in your underwear or whatever. Like I didn't know half of the weird stuff my SO did habitually until I lived with him just because spending a couple of days/a night a week together wasn't really long enough to see all of that stuff. I get super annoyed with my supervisor like all the time because I'm with her CONSTANTLY during the work week since it's just us in the lab. And I'm sure I'd be annoyed with my work crush if I had to be around him ALL THE TIME too, you know? The absence makes it fun and exciting!

how would it all work anyway to try to date?

Luckily this isn't even a feasible thing for me to think about since he's so much older, married and with kids and none of those things are things I'd want in a partner, lol. It's just one of those weird infatuations where you're like "WHY do I find THIS PERSON so attractive!?". Like people who find Steve Buschemi super hot. Everyone else is like what, why??? and they're just like "Dude, I don't know, he just does it for me!".
