Work for the Dole 'should be scrapped', say family of teen who died while working for the program

I volunteered at a local Maritime Museum doing ticketing for a period last year to fulfill my WFD obligations. The Museum director openly told me that they receive more funding for WFD placements than they did through admissions and other government grants combined.

The Salvation Army's JobActive branch seems to have an indentured policy of assigning people to WFD activities in their stores/centeres, regardless of their suitability or travel distance.

Centerlink's reliance on JSA's reeks from top to bottom, JobActive Providers are for the most part a disgusting misappropriation of government funds and its only a matter of time before a government who cares enough gets in and overturns the whole system.
