Workplace violence

if shes in a union she needs to make sure her rep is there, one who speaks Vietnamese(her native language i assume from your posts) and English. If they don't have one on staff then they MUST HIRE HER ONE. Communication is key here. Secondly, shes in a union, call the union local rep right now.. NOW.. and get involved, light a fire under the local reps ass. This is his job, this is what is paid for off every paycheck from every worker in that factory. You do not have the option to simply "lawyer up", that was signed away when you signed the union contract. Your steward is your workplace adviser now. You may bring a lawyer at your cost, but in the end they have to deal with the union and within the unions contract. Outside of that the employer IS BOUND BY DUTY AND LAW to provide a safe violence free workplace. She should have filed a police report by now. She should have called the cops after the first assault. Witnesses or not. This place sounds like the cracker factory I used to work at. You had girls pulling each others hair as they worked the line, and cawing each other in the lunchroom.
