Workshop Wednesday - Give Crafting Tips, Offer Services, Help Your Fellow Crafters!

If you don't have any traits researched yourself, yes, you will have to have someone else craft it for you. If you haven't been researching traits yourself, you won't be able to craft any armor or weapons anyone would pay for. If you haven't leveled Enchanting you will also have to have glyphs crafted or buy them. Do not expect to get crafted jewelry, it is too expensive, just buy from stores or grind for it yourself.

If you save up gold, you can buy all the materials yourself and if you give them to a crafter-for-hire the only thing to agree on would be a tip. You can also harvest a lot of the materials yourself and you can gain a lot of the materials just from deconstructing loot along the way (you won't get the CP160 materials unless you decon CP160 items but you get a chance at trait and upgrade stones from any level loot).

You would have to check some Console Guild Trader Kiosks to get exact prices.

You will need 110-150 refined materials metal/cloth/wood for each item of armor or weapon so max possible 150 x 11 items. Then you will need 9/11 trait and style stones. If you want better than white items you will need minimum 18/27/36/72 G/B/P/Gold Upgrade Mats for a full set of 7 armor plus 2 weapon slots, more if you want dual-wield weapons in a slot.

Crafting for others means you need to know traits and motifs, food/drink recipes and furniture plans. You also have to harvest/buy all the materials unless you are going to ask others to supply them.

Just continue with leveling Clothier at your own pace, Alchemy and Provisioning can be levels in a few minutes just buy buying the materials and making enough items.

What you can profit from crafting for hire varies on whom needs items on your server and whether anyone is willing to pay for them.

Check out crafters-for-hire in previous posts and you can get feel for what they offer and charge:
