The world is going to smell very different once electric vehicles become commonplace

It's not a complaint, it's the truth. No, it's worse for the enviorment right now, but is a necessary step to get the population interested in buying EVs. You were being condescending, and you didn't like my response to it. EVs are worse for the enviorment right now. The only argument you have for your case is that EVs themselves produce little pollutant. Those tires your driving on. The plastic casing for your battery, the lithium in your battery, the plastic on, and in your car, the petroleum in the electrical wires. All these things rely heavily on pollutant emission type sources of energy, and until we find the majority of alternatives to all these EVs will be worse for the enviorment. Your asking, and looking at all the information that makes it look good, and not all the backend.

Personally I believe pollutants for each product should have a label with what type, and how much of each pollutant is evolved in the processing of everything to make that product. If it costs .5 gallons of gas to grind 1,000 pounts of whet, then its shipped to a cereal facility, is combined with chemicals and bleached, all these items should add to its rating.
