World Rugby bans trans women from elite women’s game due to injury risks

Edit - would love to see those downvoting actually try to defend their stance on the issue. Oh wait....

Sure, I'll call your bluff. For the purposes of this comment "Cis women" means "Assigned female at birth".

Testosterone and estrogen don’t mix in sports.

So what about highly masculine cis-women? Does Caster Semenya, or anyone else with an intersex condition resulting in high testosterone levels in women, get to participate?

If all cis-women get to participate, she gets to participate even though she has the "competitive edge" you claim should never have been allowed.

If she does not get to participate, do women like Foekje Dillema, or anyone else with a chimerism related intersex condition resulting in ~50% XY, 50% XX cells, get to participate?

What about a 25%-50% split? 10%-90%? 5%-95%?

What about someone who has a few genetic mutations leading to high testosterone outside of an intersex condition do they get to participate?

Where's the line you draw?

The oh so inconvenient truth is that there is no clear male-female delineation. There is no test to exclude trans-women that doesn't also exclude a large amount of cis-women.

And lastly, allow me to pre-empt one response I'm sure to get:

Yes but akshually those are exceptions

So? Why are they mere "exceptions" free to ruin the sport, and are trans-women not?
