World without violence, does that sound dumb?

Not inherently. If you can justify it. Take my worlds. I have a handful. Dusty deathlands. When another hand shows up, that’s another person who can help whatever, take another guard shift against the (totally not zombies) hell crawlers. A bit less need to fight each other when your life kind of depends on each other.

Those who are battered. A common thing I have in a lot of worlds, go wherever, and you might be oppressed or whatnot. But most worlds I build like that have at least one city, where basically, just don’t murder, or steal, or give people a problem, and they don’t care. Most violence you’d see is a handful of people enjoy sparing. And even then, that’s not to the death, or even close. (Healing magic is nice) reason these towns are like this is they are generations of refugees, oppressed for their species, wars destroying their homes, mistreated, etc, to the point where these cities accept any new comers easily. The population of a handful of these cities grows not because of people having children, some of them you can count the number of children on your fingers and toes, but rather through letting in people.

I have a handful of other examples, but the point is, I’d you can write a reason, I’d say it can work.
