"The world's hottest housing markets are facing a painful reset" - but Toronto remains relatively unscathed (for now)

It’s not a question of “choosing what you want” to get out of it, as you assert, but rather a question of fact based evidence as /u/Excellent-Piece8168 has stated.

I provided you with the numbers, and you still remain incredulous. There are also a limited handful of economic immigration programs which comprise the majority of the immigration file, and adjusting status from temporary workers to permanent immigrants is very limited in scope in terms of programs, and remains especially difficult and limited for non-skilled workers (like for temporary agricultural workers), even under the PNP program (where this can occur in a very small minority of cases).

Also, it’s not about doing volunteer homework and research, but rather is about knowing the program and files inside and out. Most of the immigration economic files and programs are dealt with and processed abroad in Canada’s embassies and high commissions, with a much smaller share involving people who are already in Canada. I was one of the key people in Canada responsible for administering the immigration program not only in a national office, but also in many field offices across Canada in several different provinces for many years, as well as all around the world in numerous embassies in several countries for many years.

Therefore I know Canada’s immigration legislation, programs, process and files very well going back decades, and what you’ve asserted is just plain false. In addition, the numbers tabled in the annual reports to parliament are trustworthy and are based on fact. There is no “misrepresentation” as you assert. What is entered and processed in the department’s GCMS system (and the former FOSS and CAIPS systems prior to that going back decades) is what is directly tabled to parliament each year by law. Misrepresentation would be a criminal offense in contempt of Parliament. And I saw and oversaw the numbers going into the system (which were accurate), and coming out of the system for reports (which aligned with what went in, and which have been accurate for decades).

Unless you have evidence, as /u/Excellent-Piece8168 has also suggested (And there is no evidence, because what you’ve stated is false), please do stop misrepresenting Canada’s immigration system online, as that does harm to the system’s integrity and directly feeds into how collective public tangents are formed based on falsehoods.
