I think (more Korg) is a demonstration of Taika wanting to play with the toys that he makes. You know? He’s writing, directing, acting, and producing (not all of those in this but often on others)…and I love him, truly. He’s brilliant. And unlike most directors / producers, he actually has acting chops. Again, I love the guy…Exponentially more after watching this season of Our Flag Means Death. I like(essentially) everything he’s involved in (What We Do In The Shadows)…but I think the amount of freedom he has is allowing him to add himself more than necessary, just for the sake of it…rather than for the sake of contributing to narrative.

In other words, Korg’s a nice contribution. For sure. The caveat….in small quantities. That’s all.
