The worst part of working as an ER grief counselor this time of year is when the family says “what are we going to do with their Christmas presents?”

Yes I used to volunteer at a hospital, it is rewarding.

I enjoy helping people

Me too.

Volnteering is an exercise of altruism that elevates our souls' experience of the world. In that moment you're living in a strange unselfish parralel universe... giving of yourself freely to better someone or something else... it's a different feeling and ppl look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them how much I enjoyed it too.

I guess I just draw the line of extending myself for others much sooner than you do. I do commend you on your resilience... dealing with such macabre things day in and day out takes an amazing type of person. What are you studying?
