The Worst Possible Version of the EU Copyright Directive Has Sparked a German Uprising

do you think the EU has done an adequate job in informing what the current version is and how it has taken these concerns in to account?

They likely have; Both politicians and spokespeople have repeatedly corrected the uninformed statements.

But really there's a bigger elephant in the room here: What else should they do when the exact legal text has been published, but people simply refuse to look it up and read articles 11 and 13?

Because really, a lot of the misinformation isn't the EU failing to provide the information. It's by design.

If you take a careful look at articles from the Electronic FUD Foundation, or Julia "the ends justify the means" Reda, they don't serve to inform people about the faults in Articles 11 and 13. They merely serve to get people outraged, and use misrepresentation as well as some outright lies to that end.
