amd cpu will give more fps in valorant . your i5 cpu will definitely give more than 165hz so ita a choice. ( i have i5 10600k and 3060ti both oc - fps fluctuates bt 260 and 450 fps .)

32 ram (in 4 slots) will get your render time low by one or two ms compared to 16 gb. so buy lower hz ,like 3000hz with better cl timing but four. ram timings matter more for valo than hz .

valo lag compensation calculation uses 60hz, 144 hz , 240hz . this info is from their old blog. disclaimer they may have added more slabs- so its better to have 144 hz than 165 hz ( limiting in windows will not matter as valo reads from kernal) .

also i have heard nvidia reflex is far better than amd gpu antilag.ask amd gpu owners to verify.
