is it worth buying the parts and building my own PC to put the experience down on my resume for a helpdesk job?

I really appreciate both of your comments! I have two MacBook Pros that I use but a PC would be great for things that a Mac just can't cover, and since IT is far and wide windows-based, I'm assuming, since basically every computer I've ever used anywhere or seen anyone use in an office is a windows OS, it will be good to refamiliarize myself with the OS. I have used it all my life just not really at all since 2020 when I got my first macbook pro as my windows laptop was on its way out and I was overhauling my home recording studio, sick of the issues with recording on windows. I think I'll definitely be building a PC of my own but probably shortly after securing my first helpdesk job
