Worth Enlisting or going Officer route?

Thank you so much for helping me out, it's greatly appreciated as you already know. I just have a few more questions, I hope you can understand.

  1. In regards to the men who had reapplied to SOAS 2-3 times, what was their average age? If most people apply at 23, I'm assuming they would be 25-26 by the time they were accepted? I know it sounds weird, but age limitations seem a bit tricky to say the least.

  2. And this ties to the above question, just to be sure, those guys were people who were turned from SOAS right? Not BUD/s?

  3. If you don't mind me asking, what did your son's interview for SOAS look like? What did they interview him on, was it laid back, or were they pretty stringent during the entire process? Was your son nervous at all, or was he relatively relaxed during the affair?

  4. I appreciate the comment about helping out my family, but would the board even consider that? Or would they view that as a nonpoint, or even worse, an excuse for inactivity during school?

  5. How important would you say post-graduate leadership experience is vs. undergraduate leadership experience? If someone has a really strong record outside of school, yet not the greatest one while they were in school, could they still be in the running? Hypothetically speaking, let's say Bob Smith didn't do much as a student at his university, but after graduating he went on to work in finance, in addition to donating his time to charity. Would that lack of collegiate leadership experience hurt him?

  6. Is the board biased towards college majors? Let's say there's a guy who has a 3.7 gpa in a liberal arts degree like Poly Sci or History, and there's a guy who has a 3.0 in engineering, are they likely to be biased towards one or the other?

  7. What did your son's PST scores look like, and how long would you say it took him to reach that level?

  8. Was your son a reapplicant at all? Did he wait to apply in order to build his resume so he could compete and succeed at winning a spot at SOAS?

  9. Lastly, did your son mention any specific moments where he really shined? I guess what I'm asking is, what does he think he did during SOAS that got him selected for BUD/s?

Thanks again
