Is it worth it to invest in a house / cabin near a fresh water supply now (considering it is expected global water shortage in 2040) - even if I don’t plan on ever moving there until the “crisis” happens.

I have a friend that owns a group of small islands that are about 7km from shore on lake Superior, within 30min drive from US border at Grand Portage.

The water is crystal clear and can be drunk directly from the islands without filters (i do it every year), abundance of fish, and enough room to build cabins on the islands. Its impossible to swim there as water Temps are about 3-5 Celsius in the warmest months. You'd be hypothermic within minutes.

There's 3 or 4 small islands with two half acre rocks going for 80k asking. Package sale only.

If you'd like the listing link once the listing is live in a couple weeks, just pm me any old email. I can also list here on Collapse if thats something the community would want.

I also have tons of photos.
