Is IT worth the read?

I'll throw my 2 cents in. The novel is a big 'fuck no' in my opinion.

Keep this in mind, the first It film (Skarsgard, not Curry,) is one of my all time favorite movies. I saw the sequel on Thursday and loved that too. As for the Tim Curry version, that movie sucked. Tim was good and sold the crazy clown look and made it iconic. At this point, he's just being grandfathered praise from groups that don't actually remember the film in the first place.

I just don't like his writing. Characters seem unnecessarily cruel and he doesn't know how to end a book without his son's help. That being said, you should read it. I wouldn't recommend it, but jumping to your own conclusion is worth the risk. Plus, you'll be reading. Always a good thing.
