I am in a toxic home environment as well with some similarities to your situation. Cheating on a spouse and right wing politics in my ear all day long (along with clutter/hoarding) and I just turned down a potential job because of loud noise and a horrible work environment at home make it hard for me to concentrate here (i like peace and quiet). if you can manage not to live there I would try not to- your sanity is priceless (like the quote goes- "anything that costs you your peace is too expensive".) I am planning on leaving this place soon. You will have to make the final choice but I probably would not recommend it- especially if it affects your ability to do your job.
