is it worth taking an art degree now?

I would keep developing your art because there will always be a need for people who can create as a machine can only do so much. Not to be rude but why did you go to university for it though? Surely you could still work on your art on your own, on the side while doing a future proofed degree and either do freelance work as a side hustle or switch full time when you’re good enough or find a gig? AI art is not the future of art the same way crypto is not the future of finance. Its just a gimmick that attracts enough people to make a select few a lot of money but not enough for most people to buy into it as they don’t understand it and humans like to stick to what they know. With that said its becoming increasingly expensive to just get by and in any artistic field there is always a very imbalanced wealth pyramid compared to a conventional profession with the top 10% of artists getting paid a lot and the other 90% getting very little - with likely even less being in in that higher paid proportion. Don’t be discouraged but do have a backup plan.
