Would buy. 10/10

Not justifying anything. Context I feel is important here. Reading this passage and understanding how small the towns were, my impression was that it was meant to shame these people. They probably all grew up together in same town and knew each other, and I feel that the old man was trying to make his town people see what they were about to do as shameful as them actually using his daughters, again remember that everyone would have known each other. I've seen stuff like done before, not to the same extent, but with the same idea. What kills me about all this is that if you read further, you see that one of the strangers, the man, sent out his mistress, the other stranger. Mind you this was a woman that fled from him, whom he traveled to get back, and stayed with her relatives for a couple of days. Yet he was cowardly enough to send her out instead of going himself, not even take care of her after the horrid stuff that happened, horribly mutilate her body, and to top off lied about what happened to get revenge. It shows the depravity of the human soul.
