Why would Hermione choose Ron?

I should have included the quote from J.K. Rowling for clarification.

"In some ways Harry and Hermione are a better fit and I'll tell you something very strange. When I wrote Hallows, I felt this quite strongly when Hermione and Harry are in the tent! I hadn't told [Steve] Kloves that and when he wrote the script he felt the exact same thing at the exact same time."

Just because J.K. Rowling said they were a better fit doesn't necessarily mean they should have gotten married. I think it was just meant to show what could have been. Rowling also says in the interview that she wanted Ron and Hermione together "as a form of wish fulfillment." She said that Ron and Hermione could make it through with a bit of wizard counseling, implying that there would be conflict in their marriage. So no, Rowling did NOT say Harry and Hermione should have gotten married, but they could have been a better match.

PS - I thrive off of down votes. ;) Link: http://www.cinemablend.com/celebrity/What-J-K-Rowling-Actually-Said-About-Hermione-Relationships-With-Ron-Harry-62153.html
