Would you take a pay cut for a hybrid remote role and shorter commute?

My current job: Base pay $99k, but I received a temporary promotion for $107k. If I pass the examinations for this temporary role (which will probably run over this summer), I will become permanent and then get an automatic raise to $112k after the first year until I max out at $119k on the second year. If I fail, I stay at $99k indefinitely.

Potential new employer: I applied for two different positions. The first, for which I already passed exams and ranked #1, pays $74k-$91k. So that's a big drop and potentially not worth it unless I am able to negotiate starting at the top of that salary range. I am therefore not really looking at this opportunity as seriously, but using it for interview practice.

Second position starts at $91k with automatic raises for 5 years until maxing out at $111k. I am taking exams for this position now and will not know whether I passed for a few more months.
