I would rather have almost anything else.

Most people with cancer develop tinnitus due to chemotherapy, far more people have tinnitus than you seem to think and most of them deal with it and don't mind it too much. It doesn't actually impact your ability to live a normal life, it's just an annoying sound that affects your quality of life. This doesn't compare at all to paralysis, which will not be cured before tinnitus, you wouldn't even be able to type on the computer if it's full-body, let alone take care of yourself, or literally do anything really. Blindness as well, that affects your life far more than tinnitus ever could.

But the one thing I would trade tinnitus for, is a limb, I would give up an arm or a leg to get rid of this. Probably both, prosthetics have advanced quite a lot recently.

However, there isn't much point to the doom and gloom, you're dismissing tinnitus research and cures for some reason even though there's at least 10 different treatments going through clinical trials. And there are plenty of experimental cures you can do now, you can even buy the chemicals being used in clinical trials to test yourself as a guinea pig if you're so desperate. But there will be a cure within the next 10 years, maybe by 2020 depending on how successful the current clinical trials are. There are cures now if you're willing to do any of these, https://www.ata.org/managing-your-tinnitus/treatment-options/experimental-therapies
