Would you re-consider that cookie if you knew it would take 20 minutes to run off? | CBC News

I wish something that they would change about calorie labeling is the portion sizes. Like for a 540ml can of soup, the label indicates a portion size as 250ml and that's what the calories are calculated based on. Who eats a one cup portion of soup out of a 540ml can? And can't they at least make the portion size at least equally divisible?

And also let's say Campbell's makes 20 different types of soup, all in 540ml cans. However, the portion size varies for each type of soup. Their chicken noodle soup might indicate 250ml is one portion, while their creamy mushroom soup might say 200ml is one portion. Seems very deceptive to conveniently use a smaller portion size for a higher calorie food, just so the label shows a lower calorie number per portion.
