Would you support Mandatory, Free and Reversible Sterilization? This would mean sex without pregnancy until both parties undergo reversal (also free). Let's assume both sterilization and reversal are 100% effective. Why yes/no?

Gonna get downvoted to hell for this but yes, I'd support mandatory, free, reversible sterilization. I've had this idea myself-- sterilize babies at birth, and whenever they reach 18 they can voluntarily go get it reversed. Why 18? If you can't damn vote, you shouldn't be raising a damn kid.

I can say this as a child who was an accident, and whose siblings were accidents. Not every unplanned pregnancy ends up being flowers and sunshine. There are real, dire consequences to women who end up pregnant and, for whatever reason, cannot or will not be on birth control. "Surprise" babies can keep women in horrid situations, as they did to my mother. If she'd had the capability to be on birth control, it would have saved both her and us a lot of heartache.

ITT: "But muh reproductive rights!" Shit, people, do you realize that this planet is going to be a flaming carcass of environmental destruction in ~60 years anyway? Not having kids is the most impactful thing you can do in terms of staving off our self-induced greenhouse gas hotboxing challenge with the planet Earth.
