In terms of splatoon news, I have a feeling that we will get some sort of news next year. After all, salmon run is ending near the same time of the final splatfest of the re runs. Nintendo also hinted at what the splatoon 3 lore would look like with the “save our salmons” picture. Fun fact: if you trace around the stars in the sky in that picture u can actually see a giant eel surrounding the entire page. Anyways the point, even if we don’t get splatoon 3 next year I’m expecting some sort of teaser or update from Nintendo. I do think that splatoon 3 would come out on the next switch version (much like the Xbox 1 X) and be dual compatible with the regular switch. Although it would be a good exclusive (like the ps5) and splatoon fans would definitely upgrade.
