wow look at how diverse your lowest paying jobs are!

It means generally that people of minorities aren’t given the correct values in their upbringing and don’t execute on getting higher paid jobs then blame the system. My best friend is African American and Salvadoran and was pushed by his Salvadoran hard working grandparents to become a doctor despite all of the problems he may face, turned out to become a neuro-surgeon. My other friends, African American, all still work low level jobs and sit and complain that the system is rigged against them but do nothing to better their careers because their families didn’t instill the right ethics for them to thrive. My boss is a black man who reports to a black woman who reports to a Hispanic woman who makes 5-7x my salary. So to be honest there is no racial or gender divide like the media makes it out to be anymore it’s all about how you are raised and if you have a good work ethic. Some people become complacent and don’t thrive in their workplace and I know more white males than any other race or gender to do that. But thats not something you’ll see a white man say for fear of public backlash. Just look at all the downvotes with no comments on a opinion based thread on reddit Don’t get me wrong there is a lot of silver spoon white families but with the right level of dedication and education having a high paying career is out there for anyone regardless of gender, race, or nationality. If you’re not willing to sacrifice certain comforts to get there then don’t expect results.
