I’ve been hiding in this same cave for half a year, there’s been a monster following me no matter where I go, like it’s living my life. I haven’t slept in a week and I’m running out of water, I can’t go out because the monster would know where I am.

It sort of reminds me of the old story of the Cave of Shadows, that everything we see is just a form of shadow puppet, and if we were to see the outside we would have to re adapt ourselves entirely.

I’ve completely forgotten what it looks like outside of the cave, I only have one bottle of water left, and I’m getting exhausted from running away, I think I’ll treat myself to it.

2-15-11

I’m venturing out of the cave. Not only has the monster just seen new motivation, it’s running about 19 miles per hour after me.

Update: I’m running away from it, I’m going about the speed of my dog (I’ll see you soon, Jojo) toward a pond.

Update 2: I’m about to approach the pond, wish me luck.

Update 3: I see the monster in the pond, as I fill my water bottle it distorts, my hazel eyes rippling, staring into my hazel eyes.
