[WP] You awake from your voluntary cryogenic sleep experiment. It was supposed to be a year, it's been over 1,000. They used their one chance to wake a great war hero to save them, instead they got you who happened to have the same name.

Hitler’s Return

“I believe I speak for everyone in the Audience when I say we underestimated you. When we found out you weren’t who we expected it seemed hope was lost. Its been thirty years since we woke you. I have to ask, is that really your name?”

“Adolf Hitler, no middle name. The only gift my mom gave me. My parents weren’t exactly getting along when I was born. My mom wanted to give me up for adoption but my Dad wouldn’t sign the papers. She agreed to give him full custody if she could name me. He thought she wanted to pass along her family name. Try to picture his expression when he found out! A man of his word, he didn’t even give me a nickname. I was raised with views as opposite to the former barer of my name as you could imagine. My father was a business man and very involved in the community. Not a racist or patriotic thought in his head. No hate of any kind. I received some grief for my name but I learned to utilize it. I still can’t believe you all wanted to bring him back.”

“It must be difficult for you to understand how different the times were. We wanted strong leadership and authority. We thought he could turn things around. We were told he had the military insight to accomplish what needed to be done. Albeit, it may not have worked out for everyone but those in power thought it best. They did a hell of a job convincing us it was for the good. Perhaps not so hard when you control the media.

Could you tell us about your life before you were frozen?”

“I was an entrepreneur like my father. I built upon the empire he created. My wife was a teacher at a public school and I had two young children. Cancer, my death was immanent but there was a cure on the horizon. Less than a year away they said. I agreed to the cryogenic sleep.

“You only expected a year?! How does it feel to leap a thousand years into the future?”

“Yeah, I have some theories why they kept me under, I’ll save it for another interview.

After the shock of finding out everyone I loved and knew had died had warn off, I was stupefied by how few things had changed. I couldn’t believe humans were still fighting amongst themselves. I couldn’t believe there was still so much poverty. I thought by now we would have spread throughout the stars.”

“With your contributions maybe we will. What were you thinking when you launched your campaign?”

“I wanted to unite the human race. I wanted to create what I expected to find a thousand years in the future. Like I said, the world I found after I was thawed was much the same as it was in my time. Powerful centralized governments manipulated by an elite class. Wars, poverty, racism, and religious fanaticism. In my time I was a very wealthy American. But I was never in the inner circle. The old wealth pulled the strings on the major policies. The president was like the distracting hand of a magic trick. While the other hand, those really in charge, picked your pockets. Seeing how little things had changed in a thousand years strengthened my convictions. I focused my attention on education because I believe it was the most powerful institution in the world. Even in my time it was. It is the foundation of the divide and rule strategy of the elites. It helps to centralize the economy. It nearly immobilizes social and economic mobility. It indoctrinates the youth. Those who make it through university, which is just as much a part of the system as the public schools, are so much in debt they are trapped. I thought this system was ancient in my time, but to find out it had survived another thousand years!

You guys wanted a dictator to strengthen the top down system. I have a feeling the controversy Hitler would have created by being in charge would be more then enough to distract the masses while the important changes go unnoticed. All my life I thought we would be better off if we tore down the top down system and made a new one, with as many leaders as possible. Great leaders are great followers if they believe in who they are following. Leadership would rotate and the leaders would wield true influence, rather than just acting the part. I knew there was enough wealth in the world for us all to be rich. If more people could contribute to the work force in a meaningful way our collective and individual wealth would surge. Our greatest resource is human beings. If you give people the resources and the opportunity to contribute they will do so enthusiastically. With the majority of the people on the planet unemployed and under employed we were all missing out. Children spent over twelve thousand hours inside a public school building. On any given school day nearly one out of five people were divided from the rest of the population and confined to a school. Kids were separated by age and then further divided into smaller groups. They were told what to learn, when to learn it, and what to think about what they learn. Much of their time was taken up with boredom and busy work. They learned little more than how to follow directions. This all took place in the most vulnerable time of a human’s life. It is in our youth that we figure out who we are, we shape our worldview, and begin to see what our place is in it. Mass education shaped the students view of the world and changes the way they think and act. It molds them. It creates habits of subordination. I wanted to give kids the opportunity to become individuals rather than forcing them to conform. Germany, well Prussia at the time, created mass education. They were the first country to have government controlled schooling with mandatory attendance. Just like it was in the United States attendance was enforced by arms. The German government separated kids by age, choose the student’s teachers, made the students work for grades rather than knowledge, invented text books, and created the subjects that were taught up until our recent changes. They had a reputation for obedient soldiers and a powerful military. Training obedience at a younger age would only strengthen the soldier mentality. In my opinion, if Germany had not of had Mass education for three generations before Hitler’s time he would of never came to power. As it was, he had a population molded into blind obedience.”
