[WP] A drug exists that when people smoke it, they stay alive but their minds never return. You have had enough of life, and decide to take it.

Excerpt from Paul Neil's death note. Never released to the public.

When the drug first emerged in the media I believed it to be a hoax. Then, it reappeared in the media. I still believed it to be a hoax. There must have been a three month period when it seemed it was all you could fucking read about. It was on the news, it was on the internet, hell, it was everywhere. It was at this point that the British government released a public statement stating they were to have a zero-tolerance policy with this dubbed 'death drug.' Other countries followed suit, whilst a minority didn't really giving a shit.

Truth be told, we, and I mean we the public, didn't have a clue what this drug was or what it did. There was so much media propaganda and lies that no one actually had a clue what it did. All we were told was that it was dangerous and would not be tolerated. No one knows who manufactures it, no one knows where it comes from, all that we do know is that if you want it, there are a few disclosed websites that will sell it, for a price, of course. If you're smart with your browsing, you probably won't get caught.

The government released another statement. Oddly, they had slightly relaxed the laws on this drug. They stated they would not take any action against websites selling the drug, however, there is still a zero-tolerance policy. It cannot be dealt nor distributed within communities.

At this point, I was fucking curious. This drug was the talk of the town and then suddenly, nothing. It wasn't even being reported. Thus, I went into means of obtaining it.

It wasn't hard. Hell, it was almost easy. It's like they want you to test this shit or something. I was warned that it could potentially kill immediately when ingested, but fuck, I had nothing to live for. Dead end job, no love, no family, I was nothing. I am nothing. Here I am, I suppose, maybe writing my death note. It just looks like a pill, it's in my hand now. I'm going to try and document what it's like before I black out so, here goes nothing.

I took it and it's gone. So far, nothing. Five minutes, still nothing, I feel no different. Twetytn mitneus i stil .l fel fijen 30ty mirujyn i smfd ok, i vsnt ygcant feeelf anythigjn. HEPF LFHE HELPO FME ME PEALS. this sdsiis dworste thane deahtjh d=sajopjdwq30y24e-et-das

End of excerpt

Paul was found sitting on his by his computer. He appeared not happy, nor sad, simply there. He did not answer conversations. He simply sat. He did not smile, nor did he frown, he simply sat. He didn't move his eyes, he simply starred through the room. He became nothing, he was nobody, he was alive, but he had no identity anymore.

Paul, alike all the others who took this drug, were whisked away to a special facility where they imprisoned and monitored. An antidote was in production, however, they never planned on actually saving any of these people. They were mere cogs in the machine, nobodies, just pawns for a much greater cause. The existence of the drug was leaked, and well, they couldn't cover it up. So, they lied. Released it the public. For they were the perfect lab rats. With this drug, they would eliminate criminals, they would threaten those in power, and most importantly, they would change the world.
