[WP] Due to overpopulation, a law was passed globally that requires everyone to hibernate for 100 years at a time after every 90 years. Today is Shutdown Day. As you finish getting tucked into your pod, you instantly notice eyes being shut all around you. But something is wrong. You are still awake.

As everyone around me were drifting away in a deep slumber, I looked at the world, I saw all that humanity had done, all the countless atrocities they had committed against the environment, again all other species, again mother earth. I saw the helplessness in their eyes. I knew humanity would allow them to live for the next hundred years, and then it would wake up to continue its never ending reign of terror and slaughter and greed. No, a good long night's sleep is the last thing humanity deserved and God had chosen me, given me the chance, to right his wrong. You see he loved humanity too much, so he couldn't do it himself, but he knew in his heart what I knew all along. That for the sake of whatever little good still remained in this world, humanity MUST be allowed to die. I waited for everyone to slip into a deep bottomless slumber, and then went straight into my shed, took out my handsome shiny little Axe and a well made machete and proceeded outside, to do God's work. I had a hundred years on my hands, to finally right his greatest wrong.
