[WP] As a fight breaks out, you must defend yourself using surroundings, magic, or even just your fists.

Being stared at is normally a tolerable experience. Not today. Silas is looking at you as though you've materialized out of thin air, without the decency of even explaining how. And he looks very, very angry. The 9mm polished chrome handgun isn't helping. Nor the fact that it's pointed right at your heart.

"I suppose you want to know where we are", you manage to say.

He remains utterly silent. You start to run your fingers over your pocketwatch. The chain is worn down, but the time piece appears as new as ever. The microvibrations are so subtle an ant would hardly notice them, but you can hear the ticking amplified in the backround. The sound is particularly disruptive now, against the room's unsettling quiet. He hasn't moved a muscle since you walked through the arch and the distance between you is seemingly shorter as the seconds pass.

"I killed your father", you finally blurt out.

You were expecting a wave of relief. What you got instead knocked the wind out of you. You try to regain your composure. Showing weakness now would not be wise. Silas steps back again, as if to assess the situation. You can't possibly say anything to calm him. He's practically fuming and he's about to burst any minute. You should be fearing for your life, or coming up with any plan of action at all, but you just stand in place wondering how it came to this. If this is how you're going to go, you might as well get everything out while you can.

"He was going to hurt a lot of people. If there was another way-"

His hands start to tremble. You're sure you're going to die at any moment. Then, as if by magic, he drops the gun.

"I know", he cries. "I know, I know, I KNOW!" He's hyperventilating. A few more minutes of this and he might have a full blown panic attack. Calming him has become the top priority, before something really bad happens.

If you've learned anything today, it's that honesty probably just saved your life. You could have been coy and non-descript, but you opted for blunt realism. And now your best friend in the world is going to live. And so are you.
