A transmission from a probe we thought lost and forgotten a very long time ago. When we received the transmission, it woke up outdated technology we haven't used since we were nearly pushed to our extinction. This probe and thousands like it were launched out of desperation to find a suitable planet like ours to move our civilization. We received nothing. It was thought the probes had failed in there mission. Now, almost twenty generations later we receive this transmission. We scramble to to decipher this information from this antiquated technology. As we realize what the transmission is relaying to us, it quickly becomes clear, the probe, though very far away, has found a planet that would have been suitable for our race. After these probes were launched and when we were on the brink of extinction, a discovery of new technology saved our race and allowed us to advance in technology and even evolve faster then we ever thought possible. By this time we have already moved our home planet several times. not because we need it to survive but as a reminder of where we come from. Some of us live on it but, we don't depend on it anymore. As more of the transmission is being received we see indications there might be life on this distant planet. We have encountered life before but nothing advanced or remotely intelligent. Indications being sent by the probe suggests that there might be or was intelligent life due to the presence of certain gasses detected on the surface of this planet. We send another probe, as we do when there is any indication of life anywhere, just to be sure. With our modern technology, this probe should get there extremely fast. As the results of the second probe come in, we see everything that the first probe sent is accurate. This planet is very similar to what our planet used to be. And it definitely has intelligent life, there are strange transmissions and objects in orbit. It is decided that we will go take a closer look. Although the journey to get there wont take very long to get there, we prepare for every possibility. This is the first time we will encounter any sort of intelligent life. Approaching the planet we start observing the life, although there is intelligent life, there is allot of non intelligent life living on this planet. The intelligent life, who seem responsible for the objects in orbit, seem to be depleting the planet of its natural resources and destroying it. These parasitic creatures are fleshy in nature and made up of mostly some sort of liquid. They are nothing like us except for the over consumption of their planet's resources, which we once did and nearly destroyed our planet too. The transmissions that we are picking from this planet seem like nothing but empty transmissions, no information embedded within. These creatures not only harvest and consume non-living natural resources, but also the living. They destroy other life and absorb it just for their own personal gain, no thought to other lifeforms, or even each other. On many parts of their planet these creatures are destroying each other, many seem to have a hatred of all life on their planet, destroying it and other life extremely fast.
Making all our observations we have decided not to interact with with these organisms. But because we once came close to destroying our own planet too and this is the first semi-intelligent life we have encountered, we have decided to give this dominate life form a little bit of a boost to save their planet. We would like to see what they evolve into. A probe has been sent down that will crash land on their planet and gather all the information from the dominate life form. Its physiology, forms of communication and how they live. The probe will eventually turn into a replica of this dominate creature and study and transmit even more detailed information back to us. After the probe has gathered enough information about this creature it will introduce solutions on how to save their planet, based on how we saved ours. We will continue to observe this planet these parasitic creatures though this probe from a distance. It will be interesting to see how this creature reacts to the information this probe will eventually unload.
