[WP] If you kill someone you get the remaining years of their life, you are a serial killer

I'm pretty good at what I do. Just to give you an idea, I'm over two thousand years old. I have witnessed the rise and fall of Rome, and yes, I saw the whole Jesus fiasco unfold before my eyes. But those are stories for another time.

I don't typically write about my work, because for good reason I don't want people reading it. When you plan to live forever, it's not a good idea to leave a legacy of your crimes.

But this time was different.

A couple years back I was beginning to feel my old age. It was time to work again. Not for money, but, well, for more time. Money costs time, but time costs lives. Money is easy to make, time is an illegal commodity best bought in private. I was about to make a purchase, and the sellers name was Mary.

What was different this time after a couple thousand years? Technology. Anti-aging drugs were being developed, and they worked. The problem was side effects. The drugs made your body strong, but your mind weak. Overtime the users experience mood swings, and a drop in intelligence. A fair trade, but immortality is a useless gift without a mind to use it. I would have both.

This is where Mary comes in. She was a good person in extremely good health, and also stupid enough to marry me. The doctors were all surprised at her expected life span, as was I. She was the one, and I was dedicated to spending the rest of her life together.

We traveled the world, and spent lots of time together. I pretended to show her love, and she gave me real love in return. She saw the cracks in my personality, but chose to disregard them. I supported her in though times, and she always gave me the benefit of the doubt. Most people would call that love.

Eventually the time came where I had to act to save my own life. It wasn't a difficult discussion for me. I don't suffer from the same emotional limitations of other people.

I won't tell you my exact method for killing people, but it'

Emulating emotion is difficult for me,
