John Barret was a food scientist. In fact, he was the best in the world in his field, after his professor, Dirk Kane was arrested for directing a corporate scheme that made millions of dollars, both for the food companies as the mortuaries.   

His attention to details and compulsive behavior in complying his curiosity, were the key to his success. Surprisingly, history doesn't remember him for knowing the exact amount of salt and sugar needed in almost everything that could be eaten for creating an addiction, but, for what we know call, "The Barret Confirmation".

In short, Barret confirmed without any place for doubt, that we either live on a simulation, or that the Universe is a product of a deity. The precise numbers and mathematical formulas are too complex to even try to explain without a proper background on the field, but an approximation to the idea is that the randomness in which sub atomic particles behave, the fact that some of them are connected or entangled despite the distance, the uncertainty of measuring the reality, and a lot of other technical facts, prove to be a way to control reality. 

Barret just had the idea and started the logical and mathematical basis. All the confirmations and formulas were developed after the idea was made public in the internet and attracted the whole scientific community.

Barret's behavior made it impossible for him to release his obsession on the subject after a night with a couple of bottles of whisky, planted the idea in his mind. Not minding on his clients and the millions that were losing both food companies and hospitals, the progression of the idea and convincement of the reasoning and the mathematical facts, lead to the only possible outcome.

After calling the media to confess live, his involvement in the continuation of Professor Kane's legacy, Barret made a simultaneous live video, in all the possible social networks in existence, in which he calmly explained the idea, posted his progress on the theory and exposed his conviction, and then, killed himself to satisfy his curiosity.

After the massive suicidal wave in the scientific community and the development of the theory with the government collaboration, the thesis was confirmed. What has never been explained by social scientist, is why after the Confirmation, the global economy boosted, as the level of happiness in a society that now sees life as an opportunity to be the best version of yourself, and death as goal.
