Write ‘em, Cowboy

It's weird, I like how there are a lot of vocal techniques and styles unique to country music. How singers can talk completely normally outside of their music, but the second they start, they transform into somebody wearing both spurs and assless chaps.

That or the weird new versions of country. Where instead of being about generic rural concepts as they related to the 20th century, now it's... just a style. Football. Trucks. Bo Burnham reference because we've all seen that video at one point anyway and country is an easy target.

What really turned me off was a song about a grandmother dying from her grandson's perspective and about how life is important. I mean, I agree, but it's so totally uncomfortable and a strange genre pairing.

Man I dislike county.
