I write misogynistic songs... is that BAD?

It's easier to get away with that as a stand-up comic (Bill Burr) because they present it in a satire way or they are acting a part that is separate from who they are in real life. In music, it's not accepted as much. Why do you think when Guns N' Roses re-released their Appetite for Destruction album from 1987, they removed the song "One in a Million"? Mainly because, it is very offensive and culturally unacceptable in today's society much more than in 1987. For example, with the current immigration climate, a song that says, "They come to our country and think they'll do as they please Like start some mini-Iran Or spread some f****** disease" would not be well received today. Likewise, would your music in the #metoo world movement. As a musician, you need to protect your image and brand unless of course, you are marketing it to people with these backward type ideas.
