Wtf

Agreed. I was an anti-car zealot way before I was vegan.

The amount of habitat destruction that oil (or lithium) extraction, refining, etc, causes, is huge.

I don't believe humans are entitled to have that much steel, plastic and rubber all to themselves, and spend 100x more energy getting around compared to just shoes.

Roads ruined our cities, at the expense of non-drivers (the poor). Roads were even used as an excuse to destroy black neighbourhoods.

Roads also split habitats in half causing countless animal deaths when they try to cross.

Tire dust (see table 8-1) from normal wear [causes 50% of all total microplastic pollution](www.miljodirektoratet.no/Documents/publikasjoner/M321/M321.pdf) compared to like 1% for cosmetic beads that everyone on Reddit seems up in arms about.

I'd say anyone who cares about the environment probably shouldn't eat meat, and shouldn't drive either.
