Yeah. I think most ninja in the Naruto universe work really hard to earn their abilities and you're correct that Naruto has "cheats" in that he has the monstrous amount of qi of the Nine Tails added to his own. Later on in life, he is separated from the Nine Tails, but he still has access to several of the tailed beasts chakra as well as the ability to use their techniques. Plus, he has half the chakra from the Sage of Six Paths, and if all these inheritances were not enough cheats from being the main character, he'd still be a bad ass as a side character as he has talent for sealing jutsus from his mother and flash (instant short-range teleportation) techniques from his father. . . and he still has them as the MC, but just doesn't show them that often as they pale in power compared to all the extremely-high chakra techniques he can perform as a sage and the ultimate Tailed Beast user. If all those spoilers weren't enough cheats for you, this is the Naruto universe, so any virtuous character has the cheat of having an emotional breakthrough and using that heartfelt moment to bend fate. They might still end the engagement beat up, but they'll survive and protect what is important to them.

Having said that, like u/KillerNumber2 said is correct. Like Naruto, Wu Ying is extremely determined, hard-working, and stubborn. However, you're also right, because Wu Ying doesn't get nearly as much child-of-destiny-ultimate-power "cheats" as Naruto.
