You really went all out to push PC gaming when no one ever really questioned pc gaming, it was more the price of this game compared to the game if purchased on Steam...

I just recently built a gaming pc and i own an XB1, 360 and PS3, the PC cost me £1700 (including modifications to the cooling etc.) and have a 780 ti (cost around £450) that is more expensive than a current gen console, plus i will likely have to spend another £450 in 3 years time if i want to keep playing the latest games on highest settings at minimum 60 fps, whereas you pay £350 for a console which will last 8+ years (if last gen was anything to go by)

Sure, you can build a budget PC for not much more than a console or maybe even the same price as a console, but that will last you even less amount of time and you will have to upgrade it a hell of a lot more frequently, not the mention the fact that you will likely have to lower graphical settings or play at lower frame rates.

Now you might say 'even if you play at lower fps and graphics on a budget PC, that's still as good as you'll get on a current gen console, maybe even slightly better' but then i say...what's the point? What's the point in going down the route of PC gaming if you're going to play at sub standard graphics and choppy frame rates, I'd say one of the biggest draws to PC gaming is the improved graphics and performance over consoles, that isn't available if you go down the budget PC route.

Which leads me back to my original point, to truly get the best out of PC gaming you have to spend big, if you do it's more than worth it, that's why i did it. But even then it's going to cost me another £450 in 3 years time (probably less) to keep my PC up to date, all the while my XB1 has been able to play everything.

And to me the argument about Steam prices vs console game prices doesn't hold up, i have around 150 games on steam, that i got from humble bundles etc I've probably played 10% of them and yes i probably spent less on those 150 games than i did on the 10-15 games i have on my XB1, so you certainly get your moneys worth. But i'd much rather spend £500 on 10 XB1 games i play to death than £100 on 150 games i'll barely touch.

Like i say, i'm pro PC gaming but only if it's done right. Doing it half hearted isn't worth doing at all IMO, not if you want to play the latest games. My XB1 cost me £490 when it came out with 2 games and my pc has probably cost me about £1700 along with the extra modifications i got for it, some people don't have that much money in one chunk to spend on a pc, it's a lot more realistic to spend less on a console and then buy the games as and when they can afford the.

All I'm doing is trying to discourage this habit PC gamers have of telling console gamers were they're going wrong, what's convenient to you might not be convenient to someone else, what you wan't from a gaming machine might be a different to someone else, there's no right or wrong here.
