Actually no, they didn't. Xbox was coming off of a terrible launch and though Phil had stepped in, the amount of work required to actually pull off what needed to be done wasn't insignificant. Anybody who think you can turn a ship around in the space of 7 years is an idiot.

Also quite frankly I don't see the point in comments like this. Now more than ever Xbox is in a position to actually deliver on that promise, why else would they bother spending all that money on Bethesda? To fuck around until they're swirling the drain? It's a slow process and I don't think anyone can argue it's been excruciating, but for once it'd be nice if folks put their cynicism away for just a second to allow themselves the opportunity to have some excitement.
