Xenoblade 3 is 2 weeks away. What are your feelings on the series so far?

I did maybe 60% of what XC1 had to offer. Beat the game but did zero colony 6 content, barely any affinity, and only a few superbosses. I mostly played Riki or Melia, didn't really enjoy playing Shulk past midgame.

XCX lost me with the NLA night music and black tar. OST had some bangers but I'm not playing the game if I have to listen to that shit for 30% of my game time. Also the text was way too small. There was a good game buried in there somewhere but I was put off enough that I stopped digging before I found it.

I have about 220 hours in XC2 and regret none of them. It's a tropey anime mess storytelling-wise but fuck it, it was fun. Killed all the superbosses, maxed out all the stuff I wanted to.

I'm optimistic about XC3 and getting it on launch. I hope it has something similar to the autoattack cancels that XC2 had. It kept combat playable while I waited 4 chapters to actually get my full toolkit unlocked in XC2.
