Have a look at the Next Level Racing F-GT cockpit. Not because it's got a wider seat, but because it doesn't have *any* sides to the seat. It's just a flat bench. This sounds kind of crappy but in practise I've found it fantastic because it's soooo easy to get in and out of. Once I built a wooden platform to raise the whole cockpit 8 inches, I can just slip in and out of it in a second, it's brilliant.

I'm 230lbs as well so if it can fit my ass, I'm sure you will be fine. Bonus for being extremely rigid *and* cheaper than most.

It's also the only cockpit I know of that can be set up in formula seating position or GT seating position, depending on what you prefer to drive.
